Sam Bohmer
Hello, my name is Sam Bohmer and I am a driven sophomore at UNC-Chapel Hill studying AD/PR, public policy, and dramaturgy.
Of my extracurriculars, I have been involved in UNC Young Democrats the longest. I originally was just a general member, but then moved up to the Civic Engagement team in the spring of 2022, and became co-director of Policy, Programming, and Research this fall (2022).
In the spring of 2022, I pledged UNC’s Rho chapter of Alpha Phi Omega, the nation’s premiere gender inclusive service fraternity. For my pledge class project, we raised over $500 for the Trevor Project, a non-profit focused on helping at risk LGBTQ+ youth.
This fall I was also accepted into UNC’s Hussman School of Journalism and Media as an Advertising/Public Relations major. I am excited to continue my studies in this field with experts in the field.
